JAPAN LIFE-VEST
The Ursula Suit, created during World War II, was inspired by the uniforms of U-boat commanders and designed to meet the needs of Royal Navy officers on submarines. Named after the HMS Ursula, commanded by George Philips, it was developed with input from Lieutenant Lakin, a motorcycle enthusiast.
Inspired by motorcycle jackets, it combined a waxed jacket with cargo overalls for better comfort and protection in tough conditions. DEKKER takes inspiration from this history and reimagines it in a modern style for its collection.
THE SUBMARINE BOW-SHAPED DESIGN
DUAL
A blend of military and outdoor worlds, embracing trekking, wide landscapes, climbing, and great peaks. The softness of the “lower” part symbolizes the depths of the sea, with waves and folds created by drawstrings that allow adjustments to the length and width of the garment. In contrast, the “upper” part is clean, structured, and geometric, reflecting the peaks of mountains. This duality gives rise to a metamorphosis where functionality evolves into style.
